Can You Lock a Toy Companion App on iPhone?
On supported iPhone software, you can require authentication to open an eligible app. That can help when you occasionally hand someone your unlocked phone. It does not delete an account, erase data held by the app provider or secure another device automatically.
Choose locking or hiding
Apple describes locking as requiring Face ID, Touch ID or the passcode. Hiding an eligible downloaded app also moves it to the authenticated Hidden folder. Touch and hold the app icon and look for the authentication option; available actions depend on the app and software.
Apple notes that the locked or hidden state applies to that iPhone rather than syncing through iCloud. Review other devices separately.
Keep operation predictable
For a connected Dear Tingle product, understand its manual stop control before adding an authentication step between you and the companion app. Check access in a non-intimate setting. Do not assume locking an app disconnects or stops the toy.
Review the account separately
An app can be hidden locally while its provider still holds account information or active sharing permissions. Review those inside the official app and its privacy policy. If you want to remove the account, use the account deletion checklist rather than treating a hidden icon as deletion.
This is an iPhone privacy option, not a claim that Dear Tingle has tested every manufacturer app with app locking. If the feature is unavailable, avoid installing an unknown “app locker” as a substitute without understanding its own access.
