Runtime, Charging Time and Standby: Three Different Numbers
Charging time tells you how long the specified charging process takes. Runtime describes active operation. Standby concerns a different state. None can be calculated from another simply because the numbers look similar.
Read each line separately
For example, LELO's SONA 2 specification lists charging, user time, standby and an automatic switch-off as separate fields. This is a useful example of how to read a specification sheet, not a set of specifications for Dear Tingle products.
An “up to” runtime is not a promise that every setting and condition will deliver that exact duration. Ask what test conditions the figure represents if runtime is important to your choice.
Do not confuse a timer with depletion
A documented automatic stop can occur while energy remains. Conversely, an unexplained stop should not be dismissed as a normal timer unless the manual describes it. Look for the indicator and the stated restart behaviour.
Compare equivalent claims
When comparing devices, put active-use estimates beside active-use estimates, not standby days. Record the source and any stated settings. Leave missing values blank instead of estimating from the size of the device or its mode count.
Ask about the model you own
Dear Tingle support can help identify the appropriate instructions. We should not borrow another manufacturer's charge duration or timer to complete a missing field.
The charging guide covers the setup process. This guide is about interpreting the numbers before buying or deciding whether an observed shutdown matches the documentation.
