What Does a Vibrator Memory Setting Remember?

Rostan Machane ·

A memory setting usually invites the expectation that something will return after switching off, but the word does not tell you which setting is saved. Ask whether it applies to a pattern, intensity, both or another state.

Read the feature alongside the controls

Dear Tingle's Cadence Wand lists twenty vibration patterns, eight intensity levels and a memory setting. The listing establishes that those features are advertised together. It does not specify which state returns after shutdown, charging or a depleted battery.

Do not assume a remembered setting survives every kind of interruption. Look for the exact description in the manual, including any reset procedure.

Check restart behaviour away from the body

Once the instructions are clear, verify the documented start, adjustment and stop sequence in a non-intimate setting. Note what the indicator or controls show after restart. If the result differs from the manual, ask support rather than relying on a guess about the starting level.

This check is about predictability, not testing maximum intensity. A device that restarts unexpectedly is a reason to resolve the control question before further use.

Decide whether memory matters to you

If you prefer returning to a familiar configuration, clearly documented memory may reduce repeated button presses. If you prefer starting from a known baseline every time, ask how to reset or change the recalled state. Neither preference makes a product more advanced in a way everyone needs.

Keep pattern count separate from intensity levels when comparing alternatives. Our settings guide explains that distinction. For Dear Tingle purchases, save the manual version with your order so “memory” remains a clear, usable feature rather than a vague headline.
