Care
Do You Need Toy Cleaner, or Will Soap Work?
A dedicated toy cleaner is not automatically required for every device, and soap is not automatically suitable for every cleaning situation. Choose the method allowed by the exact product instructions. Then follow the directions on the cleaner itself, including any rinsing or waiting step.
Read two sets of instructions
The device manual tells you which materials and construction you are caring for, and what water exposure is permitted. The cleaner label tells you where and how that formula should be used. Both need to fit the task.
LELO's cleaning guidance mentions mild, fragrance-free soap as an option for regular care and also discusses its dedicated cleaner. That does not turn either method into an instruction for every Dear Tingle model. Use the guidance supplied with the item you own.
Do not confuse a spray with a complete routine
Check whether the product is meant to be sprayed and wiped, rinsed away or used in another specified way. A bottle being marketed for toys does not mean you can skip its directions or leave residue on a body-contact surface.
Likewise, “clean” and “sterile” are different claims. Do not describe a routine home wash or spray as sterilization. Questions about sharing and infection risk need more than a choice between two cleaning products; see our sharing and barriers guide.
Water limits still apply
A compatible soap does not make a device submersible. If the manual calls for a damp-cloth approach, do not put the product under a tap simply because a cleaner normally gets rinsed off. Resolve any conflict between the two instructions before using that combination.
Our water-use guide explains why the motor, seals and accessories matter as well as the surface material.
Keep the choice practical
Once you have a permitted method, keep the necessary supplies where the routine is easy to follow. Allow the device to dry as directed before storage or charging. More products and stronger household chemicals are not a substitute for clear instructions.
For a Dear Tingle purchase with missing care information, ask support for the model's instructions before buying a cleaner. That is more useful than collecting several formulas and hoping one matches.
